In this role, leading all aspects of requisition engineering associated with gas turbine auxiliaries in Air Ducts and Ventilation scope of responsibility, which includes air filtration systems, inlet & exhaust ducts, ventilation systems for gas turbine enclosures, support structures and coordination with adjacent design teams. Prime accountability will be in on time delivery, productivity, and quality.
As a Mechanical Engineer – Auxiliary Systems, you will be responsible for:
Going through customer specifications in detail, understanding critical project requirements and deriving all necessary requirements for design of various ADV items according to BH best practices.
Collaborating with external engineering suppliers in creation of basic engineering drawings of various ADV items and managing 3D models.
Performing Ventilation flow pressure drop calculation for Ventilation Fan sizing and to optimize ventilation system layouts
Performing Support structure analysis using Staad pro and preparing detailed analysis report
Being responsible for preparation of technical specifications for RFQ functions
Addressing Material supplier queries/clarifications during Technical alignment phase, working together with Sourcing team to ensure timely placement of Purchase order.
Participating in various design reviews and taking appropriate actions to ensure smooth progress of project.
Collaborating positively with adjacent Auxiliary engineering Disciplines to ensure timely transfer of inputs and information. Also, Embracing Digital culture and supporting the creation of engineering tools to achieve positive productivity.
Fuel your passion, To be successful in this role you will:
Have Bachelors / master in mechanical engineering (or) Structural Engineering with 3-10 yrs. of experience in design & execution of Auxiliary Systems (GT, Centrifugal compressor, ST Auxiliaries)
Have hands on 3D modelling/Detailing tools such as UG NX, AutoCAD, Tekla Structures, and Analysis software like Staad Pro, Flow Master, SAP2000 etc
Have Product lifecycle management tools exposure (Siemens Teamcenter, etc.) on Document management, change management, Bill of materials and classifications
Have Quality control system awareness and familiarity with the main API/ASME test/process and TR&S requirements
Have experienced candidates will be preferred for this role, but we are open to discuss with less experienced and interested candidates
Be excited by and demonstrate passion towards Engineering function
